“Be the change you want to see in the world”, the well-known quotation, often mistakenly attributed to Mahatma Gandhi, is at the centre of everything we do at AmaDablam. The tourists are beginning to return to Nepal but the situation continues to be difficult. As we write they are preparing to receive 100,000 doses of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine from Covax, which will be delivered as soon as preparations for storing and rolling out the vaccine are complete.
Most Nepalese people rely on tourism for their income, and currently, there are very few tourists. They also get no financial help from their Government and many are struggling to put food on their family table.
