I would like to introduce you all to my friend Basundhara Ghimire for our February supplier focus.
Basundhara has a street stall in Thamel (near what used to be the Pilgrim Guest House). We buy all our Gheri fabric pencil cases, purses, and our Tibetan bangles from Basundhara and she also shops on my behalf for Himalayan soap and handmade cards – anything really that is on sale in Thamel!
The money she earns helps to pay her rent and the school fees for her daughter Rubi. She has had very little income for the past year due to the lack of tourists and we have been supporting them both through these trying times.
